About Te Mahia School
Welcome to Te Mahia School, nestled in the heart of Nuhaka within Hawke's Bay region.
As a state-run full primary school embracing both boys and girls alike (coeducational), we are proudly home to approximately 57 students. Our diverse student body reflects our rich Māori heritage with over half of the community identifying as Māori, alongside significant European/Pākehā representation.
Our dedicated principal, Yvette Pohe, leads us in upholding a strong sense of cultural identity and respect for our local environment. Under her guidance, Te Mahia School has become more than just an institution; it's a place where learning is intertwined with the values that define New Zealand.
Enrolment at Te Mahia School offers students from all walks of life access to quality education in their local community. We encourage families interested in joining our school family by visiting us or contacting Yvette Pohe directly for more information on how we can welcome you into the fold.
